The PTI government may continue if Sohail Afridi and the party leadership unconditionally withdraw the call for the long march, says a senior anchorperson in an X post.

ISLAMABAD (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Sep, 2026) Renowned anchorperson and senior analyst Kamran Khan has claimed that a final decision has been taken to impose governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under Article 234 of the Constitution. However, the PTI government in the province could still continue if:

  • Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and the party's senior leadership accept three key conditions.

These conditions are:

  1. Unconditional withdrawal of the call for the 4 October long march.
  2. Full withdrawal of the proposed controversial law aimed at changing the police system in the province.
  3. Alignment of the province’s law-and-order priorities with federal and state institutions.

Kamran Khan states that fulfilling these conditions could lay the foundation for a peaceful journey between PTI and the state.
