Finance Minister Vows Improved Road Infrastructure & Development in Kharan
Balochistan Minister for Finance and Minerals, Mir Shoaib Noshirwani, has reaffirmed his commitment to linking villages and rural areas of Kharan with blacktop roads, describing it as his long-standing vision for the district’s development.
Speaking to media on Thursday, Noshirwani said that multiple road construction projects have been approved for Kharan’s villages, aimed at addressing the longstanding travel difficulties of residents. He emphasized that his relationship with the people of Kharan is not merely political but rooted in trust, compassion, service, and kinship, and that he is fully aware of their challenges and basic needs.
The Minister revealed that approximately 2,500 youth in Kharan have been provided employment without discrimination, while practical steps have been taken to end politics of bias and injustice. He added that a master plan has been prepared to transform Kharan into a modern, developed, and beautiful city, with various projects included to achieve this goal.
Highlighting the importance of road infrastructure, Noshirwani said that paved roads are a longstanding demand of the people, as unpaved and deteriorated routes have caused severe hardships for residents of remote areas. He noted that the completion of new projects will significantly reduce these difficulties and provide better travel facilities.
He stressed that improved road networks are fundamental to the region’s development, as they not only facilitate citizens' mobility but also help in transporting agricultural produce to markets, boosting business activity, and strengthening the local economy.
Noshirwani further stated that the government is prioritizing the completion of development projects in Kharan and its surrounding areas, with funds being allocated across sectors to ensure basic facilities at people’s doorsteps. Alongside road construction, special attention is being given to education, healthcare, drinking water, and other welfare projects.
He emphasized that education and health are the foundations of any society's progress, and therefore, comprehensive measures are being taken in these sectors. He also assured that water supply schemes will be implemented to address shortages in Kharan and nearby areas.
The Minister reiterated that the government is committed to transparency, quality, and public interest in all development projects, ensuring that the benefits of the development budget reach ordinary citizens. He pledged that the trust shown by the people of Kharan will be honored through continued service, accelerated development, and inclusion of every underdeveloped area in the mainstream of progress.
