Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi, Captain (Retd) Nadeem Nasir, chaired a high-level review meeting on Monday to evaluate field coverage and micro-plan execution during the opening day of the district-wide anti-polio campaign. The campaign was formally launched earlier in the day by DC Nasir at his office, with parallel launches conducted by assistant commissioners across all tehsils and elected members of parliament in their respective constituencies.

The performance review meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Social Services Fazail Mudassar, CEO Health Dr. Ehsan Ghani, and representatives from the World Health Organization (WHO).

DC Nasir directed health officials and field supervisors to maintain rigorous monitoring so that no eligible child under five is missed during the drive. He emphasized that polio eradication requires active support from parents, scholars, and local leaders, reaffirming that continuous oversight will remain in place until the virus is completely eliminated.
