First Woman Professor Appointed Dean at MUET

HYDERABAD (APP - UrduPoint) : For the first time in the history of Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, a woman professor has been appointed as Dean of a faculty.
According to university spokesman Imdad Soomro, Meritorious Professor of Chemical Engineering, Dr Khadijah Qureshi, has been appointed dean of the faculty of mechanical, process and earth engineering for a three-year term, with the approval of Sindh chief minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.
Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Tuaha Hussain Ali, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Aneel Kumar, Registrar Prof Dr Nasrullah Pirzada, and deans and heads of various teaching and administrative departments congratulated Dr Khadijah Qureshi on her appointment.
Her appointment is hailed as a significant milestone in promoting women’s leadership and representation in senior administrative positions at Mehran University.
