Five Acquitted in Murder Case
UrduPoint reports that on September 30, 2026, Additional Sessions Judge Shoaib Anwar Qureshi acquitted five individuals accused of murder. The case dated back to April 22, 2022, when Allah Rakha was allegedly shot and killed in Basti Chah Rehman Wala, within the jurisdiction of the Sahuqa Police Station.
The victim's brother, Nasir Iqbal, filed a complaint against Waheed, Muhammad Siddique, Muhammad Zaman, Shamir, and Naseer. The prosecution argued that the accused opened fire on Allah Rakha following a minor dispute, resulting in his death.
However, after considering the evidence and arguments presented by the defense counsel, the court acquitted all the accused. The reason cited was insufficient evidence against them.
