Five Terrorists Killed In CTD Operation In Peshawar
PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 11th Sep, 2026) Five terrorists, including a wanted commander of a banned militant organisation, were killed during a Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) operation in Peshawar, police officials said on Friday.
According to a CTD spokesperson, the operation was conducted in the Shamshatoo Camp area of the provincial capital. Among those killed was alleged terrorist commander Imran, who was wanted in 20 terrorism cases.
The CTD stated that Imran was involved in the killings of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Maulana Khan Zeb, Senator Hidayatullah and Rehan Zeb. They also claimed that he was the alleged mastermind behind the suicide attack on the Tarlai Imambargah. A bounty of Rs120 million had been placed on his head, according to the department.
The operation also led to the recovery of a submachine gun (SMG), four pistols, two hand grenades and an improvised explosive device (IED), the spokesperson added.
Another militant killed in the operation, identified as Shahidullah, was accused of conducting reconnaissance for the Tarlai Imambargah suicide attack, according to the CTD.
