Food Department Intensifies Market Inspections in DIKhan
Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - September 23, 2026) The Food Department has intensified market inspection activities in Dera Ismail Khan to monitor prices, ensure availability of essential food commodities, and check compliance with notified rates.
Assistant Food Controllers Khaliq Ur Rehman and Maheen Shahid, along with Foodgrain Inspector Sajid Khan Khokhar, conducted inspections of various markets and government flour (atta) sale points in the district on the directions of District Food Controller Muhammad Azam Khan.
The officials checked prices and availability of essential commodities and inspected government atta sale points to ensure provision of flour to consumers at notified rates.
The Food Department officials stated that market monitoring would continue to ensure compliance with government-prescribed rates and protect consumers from overcharging.
