Foolproof Security Ordered For 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal Events

BAHAWALPUR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 21st Aug, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur, Syed Hasan Raza, chaired a special meeting of the District Emergency Board to review security and safety arrangements for processions, rallies, and Milad gatherings scheduled for 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal 1448 AH in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Municipal Services) Dr Ayesha Khan, District Emergency Officer Muhammad Baqir, Assistant Commissioner Bahawalpur City Iqra Mubeen, and other relevant officers attended the meeting. The participants received detailed briefings on:

  • The routes of Eid Milad-un-Nabi processions.
  • Arrangements for rallies and Milad gatherings.
  • Security measures.
  • Traffic management.
  • Other related matters.

The officers concerned also updated the Deputy Commissioner on the arrangements being made for various Eid Milad-un-Nabi programs.

The meeting was informed that a total of 73 processions would be held across Bahawalpur district on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal, categorized as:

  • 2 A-category processions.
  • 8 B-category processions.
  • 36 C-category processions.

The district would also host 9 Milad gatherings, including:

  • 2 B-category events.
  • 7 C-category events.

Deputy Commissioner Syed Hasan Raza directed the relevant departments to ensure foolproof security and safety arrangements throughout all Eid Milad-un-Nabi programs. He ordered:

  • Timely completion of cleanliness along procession routes.
  • Provision of cold drinking water through sabeels (public water taps).
  • Smooth flow of traffic.
  • Provision of facilities to citizens.

Raza further directed the administration to maintain effective coordination with organizers of processions and Milad gatherings and ensure that all relevant institutions remained fully alert to deal with any emergency situation. He emphasized close coordination and effective communication throughout the Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebrations among the district administration, police, Rescue 1122, traffic police, and other concerned departments.
