Foolproof Security Plan In Sialkot On Eid Milad
SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Aug, 2026) A foolproof security plan has been formulated across the district to maintain law and order with a safe and peaceful environment on the blessed occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).
According to details, 184 processions will be taken out across the district. Based on their security requirements, 5 processions have been placed in category A, 39 in category B, and 140 in category C. Additionally, 40 Milad gatherings will also be held.
A total of 1,880 police officers and personnel will be deployed for the security of the processions and gatherings, while 190 traffic police personnel will perform duties to ensure smooth traffic flow.
Under the security plan, an effective three-tier security-checking system will be implemented at the locations of processions and gatherings:
- Thorough searches of participants and organizers
- Strict monitoring of entry and exit points
- Checking of suspicious individuals and objects
The processions and gatherings will also be continuously monitored through Safe City cameras and modern drones. Armed police personnel will be deployed on rooftops at sensitive locations and along procession routes. Participants will be checked using walkthrough gates, metal detectors, and other available security equipment. Special attention will be paid to suspicious individuals, vehicles, and objects in and around the procession and gathering areas.
To effectively deal with any emergency situation, the Quick Response Force (QRF), Elite Force, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Reserve Police, and other specialized units will remain on high alert. Effective communication and coordinated cooperation with all relevant departments, including Rescue 1122, will also be ensured.
A special traffic plan will be implemented along the procession routes to maintain the smooth flow of traffic. Alternative routes and parking arrangements have been made, while traffic police personnel will be deployed at key locations to minimize inconvenience to citizens.
DPO Sialkot Captain (Retd.) Dost Muhammad has directed all relevant officers and personnel that no negligence or lapse in security duties will be tolerated.
