Forest working on deal for Chelsea striker Delap

Liam Delap: Nottingham Forest in talks with Chelsea for striker

BBC Sport reports that Nottingham Forest is in negotiations with Chelsea for the signing of striker Liam Delap.

The 23-year-old has been training separately from Chelsea's first team and is available for a potential permanent transfer or loan deal. The clubs share a positive working relationship.

Delap joined Chelsea from Ipswich Town for £30m last year but struggled with injuries, managing just one Premier League goal last season.

Forest have already made several signings this summer, including Ousmane Diomande, Xaver Schlager, and Steve Benda, but have sold Elliot Anderson and Taiwo Awoniyi. Delap would add competition to their attacking options.

Chelsea, meanwhile, is looking to offload several players before the September 1 transfer deadline.
