Snooker champion Graeme Dott guilty of child sex abuse
BBC News reports that former world snooker champion Graeme Dott has been found guilty of two counts of child sexual abuse.
The 49-year-old was accused of lewd and libidinous behaviour towards a girl and a boy between 1993 and 2010. During the trial, the High Court in Glasgow heard details of the alleged incidents, including inappropriate touching and exposure.
Dott will be sentenced on 29 September. He previously denied the allegations, calling them "disgusting".
In a separate development, a woman came forward with new statements regarding the abuse, leading to the charges against Dott. The court also heard how he had rewarded a young boy with money and treats after molesting him.
