GCWUS, OIC-COMSTECH Discuss Academic and Scientific Collaboration

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Oct, 2026) Vice Chancellor of Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS) Prof Dr Shazia Bashir, held a meeting with Prof Dr M. Iqbal Choudhary, Coordinator General, OIC-COMSTECH, at COMSTECH. The focus was on strengthening academic and scientific collaboration through:
- Meaningful cooperation in higher education
- Scientific research
- Capacity-building, including joint training programmes, faculty and student mobility, collaborative research initiatives, and institutional linkages.
Prof Dr M. Iqbal Choudhary reaffirmed OIC-COMSTECH’s commitment to:
- Empowering women in science, technology, and innovation
- Connecting young researchers with leading universities and research institutions across OIC Member States.
Both sides expressed their commitment to developing practical initiatives aimed at:
- Enhancing the research capacity
- Professional skills
- International exposure of young women scientists.
