Governor Emphasizes on Quality Education & Modern Skill Development
UrduPoint (17 September 2026) - Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail stressed the importance of focusing on quality education and modern skill development aligned with contemporary demands, empowering university students to contribute to societal economic and social progress.
He called for training one million experts in artificial intelligence across Pakistan to realize this vision, emphasizing the crucial role Vice-Chancellors of all public sector universities must play.
During the 16th Senate meeting of Sardar Bahadur Khan Women's University (SBKWU), the Governor noted that while efforts by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Rubina Mushtaq and her team are commendable, much work remains to elevate the university to Pakistan's top rankings.
He announced the regularization of contract employees at SBKWU campuses in Khuzdar, Pishin, and Nushki, specifically those hired after fulfilling legal requirements and regulations. A special committee will verify documents and credentials before regularization.
Governor Mandokhail also highlighted:
- The need for adherence to merit in all university affairs.
- The Supreme Court of Pakistan's verdict on contract employee regularization.
