Governor Kundi Assures Support For Resolving Kurram's Development Issues
PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Sep, 2026) Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Saturday assured a delegation of the Kurram Chamber of Commerce and Industry that every possible effort would be made to address the issues facing Kurram and other merged districts.
The assurance came during a meeting with a delegation led by Kurram Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Niaz Muhammad at the Governor House.
The delegation apprised the Governor of the lack of industrial activities in Kurram, the need for establishing an industrial estate, and various regional issues, including health facilities.
Governor Kundi said he was fully aware of the problems confronting Kurram and other merged districts and would continue extending all possible support for their resolution. He noted that while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the merged districts were rich in natural resources, sustainable economic growth would remain difficult without the restoration of lasting peace.
The Governor stated efforts were underway to launch South Air flights from Parachinar, Chitral, and Dera Ismail Khan airports, which would improve travel facilities for the public and help promote trade and business activities. He also assured the delegation that their concerns would be effectively taken up with the relevant Federal and provincial authorities for appropriate action.
