Governor Pays Tribute to Shuhada, Ghazis on Defence Day

Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan has paid glowing tribute to the brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army on the occasion of Defence Day, describing September 6 as a defining milestone in the nation's history.

In his message, the governor recalled that on this day in 1965, Pakistan's valiant armed forces thwarted the evil designs of the enemy and delivered a befitting response that would forever be etched in golden letters in the annals of history. He stated that the soldiers' unwavering courage and resolve sent a powerful message to the world that Pakistan stands always ready to fulfill its sacred duty of protecting its beloved homeland.

The governor paid heartfelt homage to the martyrs (Shuhada) and war heroes (Ghazis) for their supreme sacrifices, emphasizing that the entire nation owes them an eternal debt of gratitude. He stressed that Pakistan is a great blessing bestowed by Allah Almighty, and its protection is the collective responsibility of every citizen.

Reaffirming national unity, Governor Saleem Haider declared that the whole nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan armed forces for the integrity, sovereignty, and survival of the country. He urged all Pakistanis to renew their pledge to defend the motherland against all threats and to uphold the spirit of patriotism that defines the nation's character.
