Governor Balochistan, Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, has emphasized that achieving true success lies in valuing the talent and future of students from public sector universities within their homeland. He expressed his vision during a meeting at Governor House Quetta with Vice Chancellor of Gwadar University, Prof. Dr. Razaq Sabir, and Vice Chancellor of Turbat University, Prof. Dr. Gul Hassan.
The Governor noted that a Vice Chancellor's role extends beyond heading an institution; they shape the future of young generations, advance modern research, and guide society's intellectual direction. He praised the progress made by public universities in Balochistan, which have reached higher standards in quality and quantity.
Highlighting the province's coastal potential, Mandokhail stressed that Gwadar and Turbat hold strategic significance and rich opportunities related to the blue economy, maritime trade, fisheries, coastal management, and marine resources. He urged the universities to align their academic programs and research priorities with local economic needs, focusing on modern fields like marine sciences, fisheries trade, and coastal belt management.
Mandokhail further stated that human resources are more valuable than natural resources in today's world. Equipping youth with quality education, digital technology, and modern skills can transform Balochistan's resources into employment, entrepreneurship, and prosperity opportunities. He reaffirmed his commitment to promoting quality education and stressed the need for collaboration between Vice Chancellors and stakeholders to achieve this vision.
