Beau Greaves Makes History as First Woman to Win Match on European Tour

BBC Sport reports that Beau Greaves has achieved a significant milestone in darts, becoming the first woman to win a match on the European Tour. Greaves defeated Daryl Gurney 6-4 in the Czech Open, following her previous win at the Women's World Matchplay in July.

Greaves, aged 22, overcame a 3-1 deficit to win three straight legs with 14, 13, and 11-dart finishes. She expressed her delight: "It feels amazing. It means loads to me, the crowd's fantastic. It's such a tight stage and you feel so much from the crowd. I'm really enjoying it and loving the experience."

This victory is a testament to Greaves' remarkable achievements, including becoming the first woman to win a PDC ranking title and the first to hit a nine-dart finish on the PDC ProTour.

In her next match, Greaves will face Luke Humphries, a world-class player. She anticipates a challenging confrontation, stating, "I've played Luke on the big stage before so I know what to expect, he's world class so I'm going to have to play a lot better than I did tonight."
