Hajj 2027: Online Application, First Installment Payment Process Begins

ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 18th Aug, 2026) Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf has announced the start of the payment of the first installment of Hajj dues for Hajj 2027, following the commencement of the online application submission process.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, the minister stated that over 400,000 people had successfully completed their registration from home under the digital system, describing it as a significant step towards the digitalization of Hajj arrangements in
Pakistan
.

He mentioned that registered Hajj pilgrims can now complete their applications and pay the first installment of Hajj dues via digital means from home.
The minister highlighted efforts to alleviate pilgrims’ burden by eliminating long bank queues, unnecessary travel, and paperwork.
Through the Pak Hajj App and Hajj Portal, pilgrims are offered a straightforward and secure digital platform, enabling them to navigate the process from application to payment with minimal clicks.

Sardar Muhammad Yousaf revealed that 107,526 seats had been allocated for the government Hajj scheme for Hajj 2027, with selection of pilgrims based on a first-come, first-served basis. He urged all registered pilgrims to sincerely complete this stage, adhere to the prescribed procedure, and make timely payment of the first installment.

The minister emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing Hajj arrangements, aiming for convenience, transparency, and modernization in line with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif‘s vision.
He expressed hope that the digital system would usher in a new era of improved Hajj services.

Sardar Yousuf further informed that, on the Prime Minister’s instructions, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, in collaboration with the National IT Board, had initiated the process of end-to-end digitalization of the entire Hajj system to offer maximum convenience, transparency, and ease to Hajj pilgrims.
