Harry Says He 'Slipped into Depression' During Royal Exit
The Duke of Sussex has revealed he experienced a period of depression after moving to Canada in 2019, in an online masterclass on dealing with grief.
He had originally left the UK to "get some space" and open up about his mental health.
Prince Harry discussed feeling "emotionally numb" following the death of his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, and struggling to process his grief for years.
"Being in Canada, away from the stressful environment... I became useless around the house," he recalled. "I actually slipped into depression for about two weeks and I felt like I couldn't function without adrenaline."
The duke, who later stepped back from royal duties and moved to California with his wife Meghan and their two children, also spoke about a rule he set: never be away from his family for more than 10 days.
This comes after the couple's unexpected announcement last month that they were returning to the UK with Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five. They are currently believed to be living in the Cotswolds.
