Hawala-hundi Operator Arrested From Chowk Yadgar
PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 9th Sep, 2026) The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Composite Circle Peshawar on Wednesday arrested an operator allegedly involved in the illegal hawala-hundi business and recovered Rs18.4 million in Pakistani Currency from his possession.
According to the FIA, the action was carried out at Chowk Yadgar here. A mobile phone and important documents linked to the illegal hawala-hundi business were also recovered from the suspect. The recovered cash and other evidence have been taken into custody for further investigation. Officials said the suspect is being interrogated, while efforts are underway to trace the illegal hawala-hundi network and identify others involved people, based on the evidence recovered.
FIA officials said that operations against elements involved in hawala-hundi activities would continue and be further intensified.
