HEC Announces Major Salary Hike for University Faculty

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced a significant increase in the monthly salaries of university faculty members working under the Tenure Track System.
Under the new policy:
- The minimum monthly salary for Professors is Rs. 402,000, with a maximum of Rs. 712,000.
- Associate Professors will earn between Rs. 370,000 and Rs. 625,000.
- Assistant Professors will be paid between Rs. 288,000 and Rs. 553,000.
These revised salaries will be effective from July 1st, 2026, and will be included in the July salary disbursement.
According to HEC, the respective universities will bear the cost of these new salaries from their own resources.
