SHARJAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Sep, 2026) A horrific murder has been reported in the United Arab Emirates’ Sharjah, where the body of a 38-year-old man from India’s Karnataka state was found dismembered into nine pieces inside a car, while his wife and son are also mysteriously missing.

According to Indian media, 38-year-old Alwin Prakash Kunder, who belonged to Udupi district in Karnataka, had been living in Sharjah for the past 14 years and was working for a private company. His brother, Anil Prashant, revealed that he last spoke to Alwin in mid-July. An unusual message was later sent from Alwin’s phone stating he was fine, but he stopped answering calls afterward.

Concerned family members contacted the company and Sharjah Police. During the investigation, two bags containing nine pieces of Alwin’s body were recovered from a car parked on a deserted highway leading toward Oman.

The mystery deepened when Alwin’s wife, Tina Kunder, a teacher at a local school, and their son, a Grade 10 student, were also found to be missing. CCTV footage from the school showed two unidentified men and a woman leaving the premises under suspicious circumstances. However, it remains unclear where Tina and her son are, or whether they were also victims of the murder or have gone into hiding.

It has been learned that the victim’s brother met the Superintendent of Police in Udupi, Karnataka, and called on the authorities of the United Arab Emirates and India to conduct a joint investigation into the horrific murder and arrest the suspects.

News of the incident caused deep concern and alarm in India and among the Asian community, particularly Indian nationals, living in Sharjah. UAE police and intelligence agencies are examining all aspects of the case to uncover the truth.
