Horticulture Agency Plans Upgradation of C-Class Parks Across City

The Horticulture Agency Lahore has initiated a comprehensive plan for the upgradation of C-Class parks throughout the city, aiming to provide citizens with improved and accessible recreational facilities.

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Additional Managing Director Horticulture Agency Lahore, Tasleem Akhtar Rao, where details were discussed regarding the current state of C-Class parks across Lahore. Following the directions of Managing Director Horticulture Agency Lahore, Ahmed Usman Javed, proformas have been distributed to concerned directors to gather information about park facilities, both existing and needed improvements or additions.

Tasleem Akhtar Rao instructed all Horticulture Directors to submit detailed reports on C-Class parks within two weeks.

The proforma includes queries about:

  • Park area, boundary walls, walkways, jogging tracks
  • Lighting arrangements, children’s swings, flower beds, grass lawns and trees
  • Availability of washrooms, drinking water facilities, gyms, and other essential and recreational amenities.

The Additional Managing Director explained that these reports would guide the finalization of priorities and necessary actions for improving and upgrading C-Class parks in line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

He emphasized that this initiative aims to enhance park facilities, thereby offering better recreational opportunities and a more pleasant environment for citizens across Lahore.
