House up for auction for £17k - but it doesn't have a roof

With property prices soaring, a £17,000 home might seem like a dream. Yet, this "ruined shell" near Llanberis, Gwynedd, lacks a roof.
Dating back to the 13th Century, Ty Du once belonged to the Goodman family of Ruthin and was later banished there by Oliver Cromwell in 1650.
The auctioneers highlight its historic significance, preserved A-frame roof, and surrounding walks in all directions, from the house perched on the wooded foothills of Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa).
The property includes several other ruined buildings, with intact walls to eaves level.
