Pakistan cricket team wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan has expressed his confusion over being investigated by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) for an alleged online gambling link.

In his response to a questionnaire from the NCCIA, as obtained by Geo news, Mohammad Rizwan stated that he had not been informed about any specific online gambling activity he is allegedly involved in. He received a notice on September 8th but sought clarity regarding the allegations against him, which were not provided.

He emphasized that the International Cricket Council's (ICC) Anti-Corruption Unit is the appropriate body to investigate such matters involving cricketers and that the allegations should have been reported to them instead of the NCCIA.

"It's beyond comprehension that the NCCIA is investigating this case," he said, adding that any complaint of corruption against him should be immediately referred to the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit for a thorough inquiry. Mohammad Rizwan demanded complete details of the allegations to participate actively in the investigation.
