IESCO Notifies Power Suspension Programme
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – August 18, 2026) The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) on Tuesday issued a power suspension programme for Wednesday in various areas of its region due to necessary maintenance and routine development work.
According to an IESCO spokesperson:
- In Islamabad Circle, electricity supply will be suspended from 7 am to 11 am, affecting IT-Park, Scheme-II, Kund Rajgan, King Hammad, Chatta Bakhtawar, and Gharial feeders.
- In Rawalpindi Cantt Circle, power will be cut from 6 am to 10 am, impacting Kambeli Sadiq feeder.
- In Rawalpindi City Circle, electricity supply will be suspended from 6 am to 10 am in Fawara Chowk, DHQ, Liaquat Bagh, Iqbal Road-II, City, Sarafa Bazaar, and surrounding feeders.
- On Jhelum Circle, power supply will be interrupted from 6 am to 10 am in Karyala, Metro City, Grand City, Bolani, New Cantt Jhelum, Saeela, Nougran, and related feeders.
- In GSO Circle, electricity will be suspended:
- From 6:00 am to 8:00 am in Dhoke Hasoo, Ratta, C. Factory, SS Hospital, AMC, BB Shaheed, MMK/Road, Ahsan Abad, Subhan Shaheed, Railway Colony, CDL Colony, Alam Abad, Fauji Colony, and NUTECH University.
- From 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in 132kv AWC HMC Taxila and 132KV Sangjani-Burhan.
- From 8:00 am to 6:00 pm in 132KV Kahuta City- Palandri and 132KV New Wah-Bahtermore, along with related earth switch.
IESCO apologized to consumers for the temporary inconvenience and assured that electricity supply would be restored before the scheduled time if the maintenance work was completed earlier than expected.
