IHC Disposes Of Petition Against Detention Of Three Chinese Nationals

ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 21st Aug, 2026) The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday disposed of a petition concerning the detention of three Chinese nationals who had arrived in Pakistan on business visas.

Justice Shah Rukh Arjumand heard the petition filed by translator Muhammad Nasir regarding the alleged detention of the Chinese nationals. Assistant Attorney General Usman Ghumman and officials of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), including investigation officers, appeared before the court.

The Assistant Attorney General informed the court that two of the three Chinese nationals had been identified, while the petitioner had not cooperated in identifying the third Chinese national. He requested the court to dispose of the petition. The court had earlier directed the NCCIA to complete the identification of the Chinese nationals by Friday.

After hearing the Assistant Attorney General’s request, the court disposed of the petition.
