IHC Fixes Contempt Case Against PIMS Executive Director For Hearing
ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - August 28, 2026) The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has scheduled a hearing for September 2 regarding a contempt of court case against the Executive Director of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Dr Rana Imran Sikandar, and others.
The court is addressing allegations of non-restoration of doctors to their posts and non-payment of salaries despite a suspension of a single-bench judgment. Additionally, it will hear an intra-court appeal filed by the doctors challenging the judgment of Justice Babar Sattar.
A division bench comprising Justice Azam Khan and Justice Muhammad Asif will oversee both matters. The court has already requested arguments from all parties involved.
The doctors, who were previously removed from service, sought legal recourse through their counsel, Advocate Riasat Ali Azad.
