Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has responded to Shaukat Yousafzai’s letter regarding a postponement of the long march. Afridi states he hasn't received or read the letter, and if he had, he would "tear it up and throw it in the trash."
Addressing a news conference, Afridi accused Yousafzai and other critics of insulting martyrs and dismissing the sacrifices of those who fought against terrorism. He emphasized that real understanding comes from experiencing hardship firsthand.
Afridi also raised concerns about government spending, questioning whether expenses for a program he attended were covered by the government or personally by the minister involved. He pledged to hold accountable anyone using public funds for personal gain.
The Chief Minister reaffirmed his commitment to the upcoming long march on October 4th, stating no threat or coercion can deter them from their cause. He promised to change any policies that harm Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or its people and warned against pursuing personal interests at the cost of Pashtun bloodshed.
He concluded by expressing determination to stand against such policies and even rebel if necessary, emphasizing that the well-being of his people will never be compromised.
