Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs, Senator Rana Sanaullah, has stated that Imran Khan will obtain a release order through the courts, not by marching on or attacking Islamabad. He also noted that no development work has been carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the past two and a half years.

Speaking on a Hum news program, Sanaullah discussed the possibility of governor’s rule or emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to him, these measures are not preferred but can be imposed if a provincial government uses its power for violence, fails to fulfill its constitutional responsibilities, and acts against its federal government.

He emphasized that no public welfare, construction, or development work has been done in the province during the past two years, even under Chief Minister Sohail Afridi. Sanaullah claimed that the chief minister himself acknowledged that his mandate does not include public welfare or development, only securing Imran Khan's release.

The adviser urged the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to seek a court order for Khan's release, stating that marching on or attacking Islamabad is not an option. He concluded by affirming that the federal government aims to bring the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government within the constitutional framework and prevent any unlawful actions.
