In Presence Of Theyab Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed, ADAFSA And Abu Dhabi Nature Academy Partner To Launch Poultry Farm Biosecurity Programme
In the presence of H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs and Chairman of the board of Trustees of Erth Zayed Philanthropies, Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) and Abu Dhabi Nature Academy, a subsidiary of Ekthar Wildlife Development Limited, part of Erth Zayed Philanthropies, have signed a cooperation agreement to launch the Poultry Farm Biosecurity Programme.
Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) and Abu Dhabi Nature Academy have collaborated to establish a framework for joint training initiatives in agriculture and food sectors. The agreement, signed at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition 2026, aims to:
- Develop specialised training programmes addressing sector-specific needs.
- Enhance national capabilities in agriculture and food through knowledge sharing.
- Build personnel skills at poultry facilities to prevent biosecurity risks.
- Strengthen disease surveillance practices for sustainable production and food security in Abu Dhabi.
Dr Tareq Ahmed Al Ameri, Acting Director-General of ADAFSA, expressed his enthusiasm: "This agreement showcases integrated institutional efforts to foster specialised national talent capable of safeguarding livestock and food production." He further highlighted the programme's practical approach to embedding preventive biosecurity practices.
Dr Mubarak Saeed Al Shamsi, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Nature Academy, emphasised the academy's commitment to developing biosecurity expertise. "Through this partnership with ADAFSA, we aim to harness technical knowledge to prepare professionals and reinforce preventive measures at poultry farms."
