Pakistan cricket team head coach Mike Hesson has stated that his side is preparing to participate in the Asian Games, with a mixed squad of young players and experienced senior cricketers. He expressed this during a media interaction in Karachi.
According to Hesson, the squad for the Asian Games was selected five months ago. He highlighted the team's strength and noted that Pakistan's batting could significantly improve if the conditions in Japan are favorable.
The coach shared his disappointment regarding Salman Mirza's injury but mentioned that he has been working with Shahnawaz Dahani during their stay in Karachi.
Hesson praised India's performance in cricket, stating that they are playing excellent cricket and Pakistan will give them a strong challenge at the Asian Games. He also acknowledged that while Pakistan's Test team is struggling, the T20 team ranks among the top four in the world, and the ODI team's performance is improving.
