Interviews of Agri Graduates Held for CM Internship Program

LODHRAN, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 17th Aug, 2026) Interviews for the selection of agriculture graduates under Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s internship program were held in Lodhran under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ashraf on Monday.
The internship program aims to:
- Provide agriculture professionals with practical experience
- Offer employment opportunities
- Expose them to modern farming techniques and professional skills
A total of 156 applications were received for 33 internship positions allocated to Lodhran district. After scrutiny, 142 agriculture graduates were declared eligible to appear for the interviews.
The interview panel comprised:
- Additional Deputy Commissioner (DC) Finance and Planning, Hafiz Muhammad Zafar
- Agricultural Chemist Dr Wasim Hassan
- Deputy Director Agriculture Extension Malik Muhammad Zafar
- Assistant Director Agriculture Rashid Sarwar.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Muhammad Ashraf termed the CM’s internship program a revolutionary initiative that would enable BSc (Hons) Agriculture graduates to enhance their professional capabilities. He stressed that the selection process would be conducted strictly on merit.
The DC noted that the induction of skilled and talented workforce would improve the performance and public image of the Agriculture Department.
