Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghaddam has denied reports that Iran closed its borders with Pakistan, stating that:
- Iran has not banned exports of LPG or any other goods to Pakistan.
- Iran’s borders with all neighboring countries remain open.
However, he identified disruptions caused by Pakistan’s import procedures, specifically changes to the E-Form system, which have made trading difficult.
He noted that:
- Hundreds of LPG trucks have been stuck at the Ramedan border crossing for weeks without clearance.
- Consultations with Pakistani authorities are ongoing to resolve the issue.
While Pakistan partially restored trade at the Gabd-Ramedan border crossing on October 25, issues with LPG truck clearance and documentation remain unresolved.
