Irrigation Projects In PK-72 Reviewed, Minister Assures Timely Completion

Provincial Minister for Irrigation Riaz Khan on Friday ordered accelerated work on ongoing irrigation projects in PK-72, assuring that all schemes would be completed on a priority basis to address the water and agricultural needs of the constituency.
The minister issued the directives during a meeting with former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Deputy Speaker Mahmood Jan Khan, who called on him at his office here, said an official release.
The two sides discussed the progress of ongoing irrigation schemes, implementation hurdles, and the need for further development of the irrigation infrastructure in the area.
Riaz Khan directed the irrigation authorities to closely monitor the projects and remove bottlenecks without delay. He emphasized that development works must meet prescribed quality standards and be completed transparently within the stipulated time frame. He said available resources should be utilized effectively to extend the benefits of irrigation facilities to the maximum number of people and strengthen the agricultural potential of the constituency.
Mahmood Jan Khan highlighted the irrigation-related problems faced by residents of PK-72 and called for early completion of the ongoing schemes.
