IRSA Releases 226,700 Cusecs Water – UrduPoint

Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Monday released 226,700 cusecs of water from various rim stations with an inflow of 234,100 cusecs.

According to data released by IRSA, the water level in the River Indus at Tarbela Dam stood at 1550.00 feet, 148.00 feet higher than the dead level of 1402.00 feet. Water inflow and outflow in the dam were recorded as 140,600 cusecs each.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1222.25 feet, 172.25 feet higher than its dead level of 1050 feet. The inflow and outflow of water were 16,400 cusecs and 9,000 cusecs, respectively.

Water release from Kalabagh, Taunsa, Guddu, and Sukkur was recorded as 243,900, 227,600, 220,000, and 109,300 cusecs, respectively. Similarly, from River Kabul, a total of 27,500 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera, and 22,900 cusecs were released from River Chenab at Marala.
