IRSA Releases 414,900 Cusecs Water

ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 21st Aug, 2026)

Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Friday released 414,900 cusecs of water from various rim stations with an inflow of 448,200 cusecs.

According to IRSA data:

  • The water level in the River Indus at Tarbela Dam stood at 1550.00 feet, 148.00 feet higher than the dead level of 1402.00 feet. Water inflow and outflow were recorded as 259,900 cusecs each.
  • The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1215.00 feet, 165.00 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet. Inflow and outflow were 40,700 cusecs and 7,000 cusecs, respectively.
  • Water releases from Kalabagh, Taunsa, Guddu, and Sukkur were recorded as 383,200, 296,900, 282,800, and 213,400 cusecs, respectively.
  • From River Kabul, a total of 43,500 cusecs was released at Nowshera.
  • 90,400 cusecs were released from River Chenab at Marala.
