Jinnah Institute of Cardiology Starts Operations, Heart Transplants To Be Free: Azma

Punjab Information and Culture Minister Azma Bokhari announced on Saturday that the Jinnah Institute of Cardiology has commenced operations, offering heart transplant treatment completely free of charge.

According to a statement by the minister, the capacity of the Punjab Institute of Cardiology had become insufficient due to Lahore‘s growing population. In response, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif established the Jinnah Cardiology Hospital within a short period.

Bokhari further revealed that the Chief Minister will soon inaugurate Pakistan’s largest Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital, featuring a 1,000-bed capacity. She also noted that the Cardiology Hospital in Sargodha is nearing completion, providing free treatment to patients from across Pakistan at provincial hospitals in Punjab.

The provincial minister praised Maryam Nawaz’ revolutionary efforts in the health sector, highlighting a new culture of performance, good governance, and merit. "The results of Maryam Nawaz’s two years of hard work are now becoming visible," she stated.

Bokhari urged those critical of Punjab’s progress to learn from the province’s successes.
