Joint Emergency Drill Held in Gujrat
UrduPoint (September 9, 2026) – Rescue 1122 and the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Gujrat conducted a joint emergency response drill at Jail Chowk Disposal Station to enhance preparedness for emergency situations.
According to an official source, the drill focused on:
- Firefighting techniques
- Effective use of firefighting equipment
- Timely response to emergencies
WASA SDO Asad Malik, sub-engineers, and other officers and staff participated, alongside Rescue 1122 personnel led by Muhammad Saleem. They demonstrated safe and effective emergency response procedures.
The administration stated that such joint exercises would strengthen coordination between the two departments and ensure prompt and effective relief to citizens during emergencies.
