England's wicketkeeper-batter Jos Buttler has made history by becoming the first player to complete 15,000 runs in T20 cricket.

He achieved this incredible feat during the second T20 International against Sri Lanka in Cardiff, scoring a single off Ishan Malinga to reach the milestone.

With this achievement, Buttler surpassed Kieron Pollard of West Indies, who previously held the record with 14,999 runs.

Buttler, who reached the mark in 528 matches, boasts an impressive T20 batting average of 35.46 and a strike rate of 147.46. He has scored nine centuries and 107 half-centuries in his T20 career to date.

Following close behind are Alex Hales of England (14,581 runs in 537 matches), Chris Gayle of West Indies (14,562 runs in 463 matches), and David Warner of Australia (14,284 runs in 439 matches).
