Junaid Jamshed Remembered On His 62nd Birth Anniversary
ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - September 3, 2026) Junaid Jamshed, the iconic Pakistani pop star-turned-religious scholar, is being remembered across the country on his 62nd birth anniversary. Born in Karachi on September 3, 1964, Jamshed rose to fame as the lead vocalist of Vital Signs and became a national sensation with the timeless song “Dil Dil Pakistan.”
Jamshed began reciting naats on television in 2004 and released several religious albums: Jalwa-e-Janan (2005), Mehboob-e-Yazdaan (2006), Badr-Ud-Duja (2008), and Badeeuz Zaman (2009). He also ventured into fashion by establishing his own clothing brand.
Sadly, Jamshed passed away in a plane crash on December 7, 2016, while traveling from Chitral to Islamabad, leaving behind a rich legacy that continues to inspire generations.
