Khichi Stresses Global Promotion of Pakistan’s Literary, Intellectual Heritage
Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi Emphasizes International Outreach

Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, stressed the importance of promoting Pakistan's national language, literature, and intellectual heritage globally during his visit to the National Language Promotion Department (NLPD). He directed relevant authorities to:
- Showcase scholarly and research work both nationally and internationally.
- Translate important urdu books into other languages.
- Organize exhibitions of Pakistani books and intellectual works internationally, especially in Central Asian countries.
- Display books on Central Asian countries' history and culture translated into Urdu at these exhibitions.
- Promote books about Pakistan's culture, history, and civilization translated into various languages like Russian, Azerbaijani, Uzbek, and Persian.
Khichi expressed satisfaction with the NLPD's performance and proposed improvements to enhance its effectiveness in line with modern requirements. He congratulated Dr. Rashid Hameed on having five textbooks included in the academic curriculum, appreciating his contributions as an Iqbal scholar, writer, and educationist.
Dr. Rashid Hameed's significant achievements include the publication of Urdu Pakistan Studies textbooks for Grades 10 and 12 under the Punjab Textbook Board in 2026, along with their English translations. His Grade 8 History textbook had previously been included in the curriculum in 2022, making a total of five textbooks now part of the academic curriculum.
Dr. Mazhar Saleem, Director General of NLPD, was also present at the event.
