IMOLA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 03rd Sep, 2026) Kinetiz is stepping up preparations for its inaugural race in the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League (A2RL) outside Yas Marina Circuit. The team is utilizing high-precision simulation technology to tackle the unique challenges presented by Italy's Imola Circuit.
C.K., Director of the UAE Kinetiz team, shared with WAM that Imola's elevation changes, tight corners, and limited overtaking zones differ significantly from Yas Marina Circuit.
"Ahead of Saturday’s race," he noted, "we've developed a high-precision simulation system that accurately replicates real track conditions. This allows us to test the autonomous car under various scenarios, pushing its performance limits while refining our algorithms based on the collected data."
Preparations have focused on complex corners demanding precise calculations within the autonomous driving algorithms for safety and optimal performance. The team analyzes data such as tire temperatures, track friction levels, steering limitations, acceleration, and braking points. C.K. emphasized adapting to fluctuating track and environmental conditions, as the car's settings cannot remain constant in all situations.
"Advanced simulation enables us to explore the car’s limits more safely before circuit testing, reducing risks associated with high-speed trials," he added.
While the car can reach speeds of approximately 250 kilometers per hour, C.K. stressed that speed alone doesn't determine performance in autonomous racing. Acceleration, cornering speed, braking points, and acceleration on exiting corners play crucial roles in achieving competitive lap times.
Kinetiz's A2RL participation aims to advance technologies beyond racing, contributing to the future development of autonomous driving and its broader applications across the mobility sector.
