Kohat Police Seize Arms and Ammunition During District-Wide Operations

Kohat Police have arrested several suspects and recovered a substantial quantity of illegal weapons and ammunition during targeted search operations across the district. These operations, conducted on Saturday, aimed to curb crime, apprehend proclaimed offenders, and ensure citizen safety under the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Kohat SSP Rai Mazhar Iqbal.
Senior police officers supervised raids on suspected hideouts in various locations. During the searches, police seized:
- A Kalashnikov rifle
- Several pistols
- Magazines
- Tear gas shells
- A large quantity of live ammunition
Several suspects were arrested at the scene and taken to relevant police stations for further legal proceedings.
DPO Rai Mazhar Iqbal emphasized the police force's commitment to maintaining peace and security, stating that indiscriminate action against elements involved in illegal activities, lawlessness, and aerial firing would continue. He directed officers to remain vigilant and ensure effective enforcement of the law while ongoing investigations into the cases proceed.
