KP Assembly Panel Seeks Record Of Temporary Teacher Appointments

KP Assembly’s Standing Committee on Elementary and Secondary Education has requested complete records of temporary Primary Teaching Certificate (PTC) teachers hired in primary schools under the UNICEF PTC Fund during the financial year 2025-26.

Directive from the Committee

The subcommittee, chaired by MPA Rashad Khan, instructed the Elementary and Secondary Education Department to present details at its subsequent meeting, including:

  • Dates of appointment
  • Academic qualifications
  • Prescribed criteria
  • Other relevant documents

This directive followed reports that the services of temporarily recruited PTC teachers had concluded due to the expiry of the UNICEF fund in August. The committee also noted several complaints regarding the recruitment process and aimed to scrutinize the record for transparency.

Illegal Encroachments on Government School Land

The subcommittee additionally reviewed illegal encroachments on government school land, with officials confirming that encroachments had been identified on the land of 109 schools, out of which 16 were successfully retrieved through commissioners and deputy commissioners’ efforts.
