PML-Zia chief Ijaz-ul-Haq has stated that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government is expected to end prior to the October 4 long march. Speaking on a private television program, he argued that while seeking relief is a legitimate process, it should be pursued through proper channels rather than threats.

He criticized threatening remarks made by any minister, emphasizing that such statements are inappropriate. According to Ijaz-ul-Haq, whether emergency or governor’s rule is imposed, the government will not permit the long march, and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will face significant challenges afterward.

"Take it as news or as information," he said.

Additionally, journalist Shahzad Iqbal suggested in his vlog that while resolving the long march issue might provide temporary relief, the establishment had already decided to remove Chief Minister Sohail Afridi through governor’s rule, a process that may not be straightforward. He noted that governor's rule can be extended from two months to six months.
