KP govt orders reposting of union council-based teachers
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Elementary and Secondary Education Department has ordered the reposting of teachers recruited against Union Council-based posts to their respective Union Councils across the province.
Under this directive, District Education Officers (both male and female) are asked to review the postings of all teachers hired on a Union Council basis and ensure their return to the areas they were originally appointed for.
The department clarified that this decision aligns with the relevant recruitment policy and appointment rules in place at the time of hiring. However, teachers currently posted under the government’s Wedlock/Spouse Policy are exempted from this order and will not be affected.
Concerned DEOs have a 15-day deadline to complete the exercise and submit detailed compliance reports to the Elementary and Secondary Education Department. The Director EMIS has been instructed to upload the circular on the department’s website for all concerned.
