KP IGP Orders Foolproof Security For Eid Milad-un-Nabi Gatherings
PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Aug, 2026) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed has directed all Regional Police Officers and District Police Officers to ensure foolproof security arrangements for processions, gatherings, and religious programmes being held on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (12th Rabi-ul-Awwal).
Security Measures:
- Strengthen security at sensitive locations, mosques, and along routes of religious processions.
- Keep a close watch on suspicious persons and activities.
- Intensify search and combing operations.
- Effectively utilize modern surveillance technology like CCTV cameras, drones, and other monitoring resources.
Supervision and Coordination:
- Senior police officers are to remain present in the field and personally supervise security arrangements.
- Close coordination with the public and event organizers is essential to ensure peaceful and safe conduct of all Eid Milad-un-Nabi programmes.
IGP Hameed emphasized, "Protection of the lives and property of the people is the foremost responsibility of the police, and no negligence or lapse in security arrangements will be tolerated."
