KP Makes Major Administrative Changes In Education Department

KP education Department has introduced significant administrative reforms, redistributing powers related to teachers’ promotions, transfers, and other service matters among deputy directors.

According to the Education Directorate, dated August 23, 2026 (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News), matters concerning officers in Grade 17 and above are now under the jurisdiction of Deputy Director Establishment-II. Meanwhile, Deputy Director Establishment-I oversees affairs related to employees up to Grade 16.

A notification reveals that cases regarding SSTs, school leaders, and teacher regularization have been assigned to Deputy Director Aftab Ahmad. Powers concerning ACRs, seniority, and transfers of Grade 17 and above officers have also been delegated to Deputy Director Establishment-II.

The Education Directorate states that this new distribution of responsibilities aims to enhance the management and efficiency of administrative affairs within the Education Department.
