Lab Technician Held For Taking Bribe

MULTAN, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 31st Aug, 2026) Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Multan Region on Monday arrested a lab technician of Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) hospital Mailsi red-handed while receiving a bribe of Rs 50,000.

The operation was conducted under the supervision of Regional Director ACE Multan Basharat Nabi. According to the ACE spokesperson, Circle officer Anti-Corruption Vehari Sajid Ali and his team conducted the trap raid and arrested Liaquat, a lab technician associated with the X-ray machine at THQ hospital Mailsi, while receiving Rs 50,000 in bribe. The marked (tainted) currency notes were also recovered from the suspect and taken into official custody in accordance with the law. A case was registered against the accused.
